Through her lens, Susan Rutman explores her three passions: the Natural world; the Peoples’ movements for peace, justice and climate protection; and the celebration of Music. Her photographic explorations are at the frontlines of our lives and times.

Susan’s photography brings us into her world: her life on the Hudson River and in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, or while running with her fellow activists in the streets of New York City. Light, whether on the Hudson’s Palisades or a Vermont meadow, is her antidote to the chaos in our world.

Rutman’s photographs of music legends, in concerts from the eighties and nineties, give you a front row seat to some of the most exciting performing artists of that era, accentuating the electrifying moments of creativity. She continues to explore music at venues large & small in & around NYC.

She has been an honored participant in many solo and group exhibitions in NY, DC and Vermont, over the past 40 years. Her printed images hang on the walls of a growing number of private collectors. Susan’s mission is to reach many more people through her photography and activism, with hopes that the higher good prevails and all may live in peace and harmony on this beautiful earth.
